5. Roopkund Trek, Uttarakhand

• Difficulty level- Moderate

The Roopkund Trek starts from Lohajung and leads you to a lake named Roopkund. This lake is known for skeletal remains of human that were found at its bottom. You have to cover a distance of 53 km, in a period of 7 to 9 days. You make your way through jungles while listening to the sweet nnelody of river flowing. Throughout the trek you will spot Hindu temples, Himalayan peaks such as Nanda Devi and Nanda Ghunti, rare bird specis, and green plains.
